As of June 10, Congress approved a modification to the law that required that all persons, Hondurans, and foreigners entering the country had to provide a negative COVID 19 test taken within 72 hours of their arrival into Honduras. The new law states that if you are fully vaccinated you can now enter the country without the negative test.
I am happy to announce that as far as we have learned from a trusted source, that Honduras borders will reopen this week! I must confess that I was not aware that Guatemala and El Salvador have not yet opened their airports. Because they are still in a lockdown, their borders have remained closed.
Tomorrow, August 17 is a historical day for the reopening of tourism to Honduras! The airports in Honduras will begin to see airlines resuming the flight schedules. Most of the service will begin with the San Pedro Sula airport (SAP).
