Looking for the Friendliest City in Central America?

Central Americans are friendly folks. As a general rule, you will feel welcome in the five countries that consider themselves as Central America. I am refering to Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Having visited them all! I believe that the friendliest country in Central America is Honduras. Hondurans will take their shirt off for you. They will go out of their way to please you, and they will never deny you a big smile!

La Ceiba is the Friendliest City in Honduras

Having settled this, I must now express my feelings for the friendliest of the friendly in Honduras. There is one city in particular that has a well deserved reputation as friendly and hospitable city. Of course, I am referring to “Honduras’ bride”, La Ceiba. This Caribbean city is a true melting pot. You will find African Hondurans as well as Miskito and Pech Native Americans. US citizens  coexist with the Bay Islanders, that are of British descent.  Together, they  make the friendliest city in Central America.

The truth is that La Ceiba offers the best of two worlds. It is friendly coastal city in Central America. It is also a Caribbean City that loves to dance to the beat of drums.  Hondurans have an old saying. Tegucigalpa thinks, San Pedro Sula works, La Ceiba enjoys the party! This refers to the fact that Tegucigalpa is the capital, where national policy is conceived. San Pedro Sula is the financial and commercial center of Honduras. La Ceiba is the friendly city that welcomes all to the party! Of course, there is a lot more to La Ceiba that a festive atmosphere.
