The best known of all dive resorts and hotels in Roatan’s East End, Turquiose Bay is a small property with lovely island style rooms and nice facilities. A pleasant pool with an ocean view, direct access to their own beach just a few steps from your hotel, and friendly staff at the hotel. They run their own dive operation, and because of their remote location on the North Side of the Island, they have access to unique dive spots that are just too far away for the other dive shops and resorts to visit. This means that you get to explore the reefs almost on your own! Turquoise Bay has a variety of rooms which include garden view, hillside view and ocean view options. Prices are very reasonable, and their dive packages that include PADI diving certification are top notch!

The Beach at Paya Bay

Paya Bay Resort is one of the most unique properties on the island. Located in a remote location, very close to Camp Bay, which is at the end of the road that serves as a backbone to Roatan, and facing the north side of the Island, Paya Bay is perched on a bluff offering spectacular views of two small coves. Although beaches are public in Honduras, they have a small beach that is absolutely private, ideal for nude bathing. The rooms are nice and comfortable; the restaurant is outstanding with incredible views of the Caribbean. From their terrace you can see the islands of St. Helene, Morat and Barbaretta in the background, and on a clear day, you can even see Guanaja! Paya Bay Resort is a perfect property to disconnect from reality and enjoy paradise for a few days. If you are looking for this, then it is ideal, otherwise, you might find that you are out in the middle of nowhere!
