There are many different La Esperanza Hotels to choose from. Following is the list of the best alternatives so that you can decide which is the best alternative for you. You will find that some properties are downtown La Esperanza while others are on the outskirts of town in the lovely pine forests that surround the city.
Downtown La Esperanza Hotels
Gran Hotel La Esperanza
Hotel La Esperanza is one of the largest in town. It has a good central location. I think the hotel is overrated. It has an old section, which you should stay away from and a new section which is OK, but only OK. The hotel offers a full service restaurant and bar.
Posada Abuelita Elena
Posada Abuelita Elena is a charming bed and breakfast in the heart of La Esperanza. The property belonged to the grandmother of the current owners, and they decided to preserve her home and operate it as a bed and breakfast. The property has lovely interior gardens, and much of the original décor of the home. Delicious full American or tipico breakfasts with great Honduras coffee will get you ready to go for your adventure in La Esperanza.[themify_hr border_width=”1″ width=”1″ color=”light-gray”]
A small, family owned hotel that is close to downtown. Rooms are spacious, clean and affordable. The Hotel Ipsan Nah offers complimentary parking, as well as good restaurant where you will find local food with good service.[themify_hr border_width=”1″ width=”1″ color=”light-gray”]
An interesting alternative for extended stays in La Esperanza. This hotel also offers two bedroom apartments with a full kitchen. The facilities are also ideal for large families or groups. They also feature single, double, triple and even quad rooms. The property offers clean rooms and common areas. Apart Hotel Plaza Familiar also offers a small convenience store within premises. You will also find a recreation room with a pool table and other games available.[themify_hr border_width=”1″ width=”1″ color=”light-gray”]
Posada Papa Chepe
This is the most charming hotel in town. It is also in the heart of La Esperanza. Walk out the door and you are on Central Park. Rooms are pleasant and surround a central garden and courtyard. The hotel is the best deal in town. Good rooms, local charm, a restaurant and bar and great location. Add good service and you will agree this is probably the best place to stay in La Esperanza. You simply can’t go wrong at Posada Papa Chepe! [themify_hr border_width=”1″ width=”1″ color=”light-gray”]
Hotel Molino Real
Hotel Molino Real is a family oriented hotel that offers children’s playground and pool. It is close to a forested area within the city and offers comfortable rooms and a full service restaurant. Molino Real is a family run business and there are always members of the owning family nearby to make sure you feel at home. This is a great option if you are traveling with kids. Although a bit outside of town, you can catch a cab into the downtown area. The property has extensive gardens that you will enjoy.[themify_hr border_width=”1″ width=”1″ color=”light-gray”]
A, nice relatively new hotel that is on the entrance to La Esperanza as you arrive from Siguatepeque, that makes it easy to find! The owner, Nimia, is bilingual and always available to help out. Rooms at Wawa’s Hotel are clean and spacious, service is friendly. The only drawback is that it is not within walking distance to town.[themify_hr border_width=”1″ width=”1″ color=”light-gray”]
Hotel las Margaritas has some of the most hospitable service in La Esperanza. Run by a local family who are friendly and will go out of their way to help you out and make your stay pleasant. Don Lisandro, the owner is a great host and source of information about La Esperanza and surroundings. Rooms are clean and the location is close to downtown. I recommend it as a one of the best deals in La Esperanza.[themify_hr border_width=”1″ width=”1″ color=”light-gray”]
The Hotel Mina has a good downtown location. It also has some spacious rooms and suites. Perhaps it’s one drawback is the fact that they use a large courtyard in front of the rooms as a parking lot. This means that you will hear a lot of noise as people get into their cars or ask other guests to move their cars to allow them to exit the parking lot. If you are an earlybird and plan on being up early, then this will not be an issue.
Out of Town La Esperanza Hotels
Casa del Arrollo B&B
Its setting is a rural location a few minutes out of town. I recommend you have a vehicle if you will be staying here, as it will allow you to go into town to explore. Enjoy the pine forests, the small creek running nearby, and the authentic Honduras atmosphere. Casa del Arrollo is ideal to relax and enjoy nature! Some of their rooms are freestanding bungalows with two rooms and even a kitchen, others are within the main house. Services include restaurant and bar.[themify_hr border_width=”1″ width=”1″ color=”light-gray”]
Cabanas Bosque del Llano de le Virgen
A set of cabins nestled in the woods. Cabanas Bosque del Llano de la Virgen are the perfect place to escape from it all. You are in the pine forests and away from it all. Although not that far from town, it is not within walking distance. The cabins have a kitchen, which you will be using, as there are no restaurant facilities on premises. You should have your own vehicle if you are staying here![themify_hr border_width=”1″ width=”1″ color=”light-gray”]
Cabanas Los Pinos
A different, quite unique hotel located on the outskirts of town, on the road to Siguatepeque. Cabanas los Pinos is without doubt the most eclectic property in La Esperanza. It is set within a pine forest and offers one of the few swimming pools in La Esperanza. The facility includes a full service restaurant. Rooms are spread throughout the property in groups of 4 rooms. A large children’s playground and spacious outdoors make it a good alternative if traveling with kids.[themify_hr border_width=”1″ width=”1″ color=”light-gray”]
Finca Santa Elena
This lovely coffee farm turned hotel is halfways between La Esperanza and Gracias, in the town of San Juan, Intibuca. If you are looking for a rural hideaway to relax and get away from it all, this might just be the perfect spot! The hotel offers a variety of cabins that include one and two bedroom units. A nice pool and surrounding pine forest provide a unique area to relax in. The facility includes a restaurant and of course, some of the best coffee in Honduras!
If you want to learn about coffee and take some gourmet coffee back home as a gift to friends and family, this is your chance to do so! Because of its location, it is easy to visit both, Gracias and La Esperanza when staying at Finca Santa Elena.
