The New Marina Copan Convention Center is Open for Business!
The Marina Copan Convention Center opened its doors and hosted its first event earlier this month. This is a fantastic venue that opens many different possibilities for Copan. The project is part of the legacy of the Welchez family, who are pioneers of tourism in Copan. The facility is about 3 kilometers from town, on the main road towards the town of La Entrada de Copan. There is no doubt that this convention center, together with the new highway, is the beginning of a new and very bright future for Copan Ruinas![themify_hr border_width=”1″ width=”1″ color=”light-gray”]
An Amazing Venue in a Magic Destination!

In the old days, the land where the Marina Copan Convention Center was a tobacco plantation. Part of the charming architectural plan took this into consideration. As such, you will find what looks like the old tobacco ovens in perfect harmony with the colonial style architecture. A large lobby gives access to a huge ballroom that has a capacity for up to 600 persons. A modern kitchen has all the modern tools to prepare and serve food for up to 600 persons. There is no doubt that the New Marina Copan Convention Center is a huge asset to Copan Ruinas. The strategic geographic location of Copan Ruinas means that this new venue will be attractive not only to the Honduran market, but also for the Guatemalan and Salvadoran markets. I can imagine that Copan Ruinas will become a major wedding venue with the new facilities. Best of all, every hotel in Copan Ruinas will benefit from this investment!
