Today, travel between the Bay Islands of Honduras is somewhat easy. When I first came to Honduras, twenty-six years ago, there was no regular service between the islands. If you wanted to travel from one island to another, you would have to come back to La Ceiba.
This past week Sun Country Air started their first flight to Roatan. The flight originates in Minneapolis – Saint Paul and flies nonstop service to Roatan once a week. Sun Country Air Flies to Roatan every Friday between December 18 and April 9.
This week we have some great news! The Copan Archaeological site reopens! It will be open only from Thursdays to Sundays. I expect that this will soon become a daily event once again. The downside is that the museums and archaeological tunnels will not open for the time being.
